What historical labor struggles do we inherit and how does this relate to the continued struggle for a more democratic Columbus and beyond? And what do we mean by democracy?

Join us at Prologue Bookshop (787 N High St, Columbus, OH 43215) on November 16th at 6:30 PM where we are hosting Shawn Gude, Author of American Socialist: The Life and Legacy of Eugene V. Debs, in conversation with:

Munira Abdullahi, State Representative, District 9

Zak Katich, Unionist, Labor Steward, Columbus Democratic Socialists of America

Colleen O’Connell, Unionist, Spokesperson, Our City Our Say

Come learn with us about the deepening political consciousness of Eugene V. Debs, railroad worker turned industrial unionist turned presidential candidate, and the evolution of the labor movement of its day in the United States, including here in Ohio. And think together with us about how shop-floor labor organizing translates into stronger, deeper democratic institutions.
